Career Meets Community at Loyola

Community is at the core of who we are and why we do what we do. The talents, skills, expertise, and experience of our faculty, staff, and administrators make Loyola an exceptional place to learn, live, and grow personally and professionally.

We invite applicants to explore and pursue opportunities to serve and enhance our community.

Modern benefits in an evolving world of work

Loyola could not prepare its students to thrive and succeed in a diverse and changing world without first empowering its employees to do the same. As every person's health, financial, and family situations change over time, Loyola's goal is to be there through those ebbs and flows with comprehensive benefits including partnership with a major insurance network, an annual wellness program, generous paid leave, and mental health and crisis resources.

9% University retirement contribution

After one year of service, Loyola will contribute 9% of your base pay to a 403(b) Retirement Plan. All you have to do is contribute 2% yourself! Employees are welcome to start their own personal contributions on their first day of hire.

Loyola strives to care for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit

Our mission, vision, and Jesuit tradition are what attract the inspiring individuals who work at Loyola—and why so many stick around for decades. No matter your role, there is a permeating sense of commitment and dedication to the students and the surrounding community: to help shape and support the next generation of leaders who hope to change the world for the better. Because of this, the Loyola community is a strong one in which employees find a sense of belonging, build lifelong connections, work with a diverse population, and discover a love for continuous learning and a passion for service. One of many ways some employees choose to take this passion further is by becoming a Messina Mentor for undergraduate students.

Loyola is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive culture for our entire community. Employees are encouraged to get involved through activities and programming that foster diversity and collaborative initiatives that foster inclusion and equity, like OUTLoyola. Additional faculty development initiatives include faculty affinity groups, pronoun guidance, and equity and inclusion faculty fellows. Loyola has also implemented a chosen name policy and offers various training programs such as Safe Zone training, Racial Equity Foundational Workshops, and Unconscious Bias and Microaggressions training through the office of human resources.
